Atlanta Demolition FAQ: Your Top Questions Answered

We've answered thousands of questions from Atlanta homeowners, contractors, and property investors over the years. Here are the ones that come up most often — answered honestly and directly.

How do I get a demolition estimate?

Call or contact us to schedule a free on-site walkthrough. We come to the property, assess the scope, and provide a written itemized quote — typically same day or within 24 hours. We do not quote structural projects accurately over the phone without seeing the work.

Are you licensed and insured in Georgia?

Yes. Atlanta Demolition Experts carries full general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. We're happy to provide certificates of insurance before any work begins. Never hire a demolition contractor without verifying current insurance.

Do you handle permits or do I need to do that?

We handle all required permits for every job we take. You don't need to navigate the permit office. We pull the permit, schedule inspections if required, and manage the process from start to finish.

How far in advance do I need to schedule?

For most residential projects, we can schedule within 3–7 business days. Larger projects or those requiring permits may need 1–2 weeks of lead time. We also keep some capacity for urgent work — if you have a time-sensitive project, call us directly to discuss availability.

What areas of Atlanta do you serve?

We serve the entire metro Atlanta area including Fulton, DeKalb, Cobb, Gwinnett, Clayton, Fayette, Henry, and Cherokee counties. Key cities include Atlanta, Marietta, Alpharetta, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Decatur, Dunwoody, Kennesaw, Smyrna, Norcross, Duluth, and many more.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept check, ACH bank transfer, and major credit cards. We typically require a deposit at contract signing with the balance due upon project completion.

Can you work while the house is occupied?

Yes, with proper containment. We seal off the demo zone with plastic sheeting to contain dust and debris. For major projects, we recommend the family not be in the home during active demo hours for both safety and comfort.

What happens to the debris after demolition?

All debris is loaded and hauled to licensed disposal facilities. We sort materials where possible — concrete to recycling, clean wood for appropriate disposal, drywall and mixed materials to certified landfill. Nothing is dumped illegally.
